The Rolex Explorer II in reference 226570 is a purpose-built tool watch designed for legibility and endurance in demanding conditions. This example presents in unworn condition and is offered as a full set with original box and papers dated 2026.
The 42mm Oystersteel case houses Rolex's Calibre 3285 movement, providing a 70-hour power reserve and chronometric precision. The white polar dial is clean and highly legible, featuring luminescent baton indices alongside Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9. A date aperture sits at 3 o'clock.
The fixed 24-hour graduated bezel, paired with a dedicated orange 24-hour hand, allows the wearer to distinguish daytime from night-time hours at a glance. This feature was conceived for explorers operating in environments where natural light cues are absent or unreliable.
The watch is fitted on the Oyster bracelet with an Easylink comfort extension, offering a fine adjustment of approximately 5mm. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
